I’ve been writing a little this week about the quilting UFOs I have stashed away. Today I have another one – in fact, one of my favourites. For a number of years, I collected Japanese style fabrics as I came across them and wondered how I was going to do them justice in a quilt. Eventually I designed my own Japanese Quilt.
I wanted to use pretty large pieces of my gorgeous fabrics so this is a combination of large rectangles, staggered in rows like bricks with a black on clack sashing fabric in between and around the border.
Along the top there is a row of squares to create some added length and a top border feature.
I still can’t decide whether my favourite fabric is this green ball print or the navy print with the little Japanese girls on it.
Which Japanese print do you like best?
