Kids Calendar

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Paper Tagged With: Kids, Organisation Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

I created this last year for Little Miss to keep track of her kindy days and home days. But she was probably a bit young at the time and didn’t really understand. This year, she gets it. I’ve added it to her recently refurbished bedroom.
The chipboard panels were a Kaysercraft book kit which I just painted up then added scrapbooking paper and stickers for the names of the days. The last one has Saturday and Sunday together. Then I sealed them with Jo Sonya clear varnish, and added a ribbon across each one and ribbon tying them together. I have little square tags that tie onto the days with labels like “Home”, “Kindy”, “Church”, “Party” and “Birthday”. I’m making some new ones with “School” and “Free Dress Day” on them now that she’s at school. I’ll take another shot in a day or two to show how it works.

I do something similar, though not nearly as crafty and pretty. I got days of the week signs from the dollar store (teacher section) and lined them up on our kitchen wall. Under each day, I have a picture of our activities: school, speech, family (Sat. and Sunday). I need to revamp it for our new summer schedule with new photos, but it's been helpful for showing my son what we're doing the next day or how soon is the weekend.

What a fun way to help her keep track of the days and activities she has going on. So cute too. Thanks for linking to We're Organized Wednesday.
