Managed to fit a little crafting in yesterday morning and here’s the results!
First, a strap to hold my keys inspired by this tutorial at U Create. I realised I often pop up to school with only my car key and the garage door clicker, so I would get caught outside if the electricity was off. This way I have a door key with my car key – and it’s cute!! The little clasp thingy was a couple of dollars at Spotlight and the fabric was leftovers from my Japanese quilt (that’s still in progress). I made mine a little narrower than the one in the tutorial so fit my clasp thingy and added a ring within the loop, but truly very quick to make – love it!
The other project that’s been waiting was a simple little bag to hold my sunglasses. I always seem to be dumping them somewhere or shoving them into my handbag and they are getting scratched. So a little bit of leftover flannel from a baby quilt and some ribbon… voila!
