Sewing Machine Cover

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Tagged With: Jelly rolls Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

Just wanted a little project to work on and this fit the bill: a cover for my sewing machine. The pattern was based on one in the Moda Bakeshop listings. I used part of a Moda jelly roll I’ve been saving. Very quick and easy – especially as the original had a shorter section to accommodate a sewing table extension and I didn’t bother with that. I think I’ll use the rest of the roll to make a slip case for my new toy.

    Hi there!
Popped over from Kimba's DIY day. So glad I did. Love your sewing machine cover. I have never used jelly rolls before. I haven't been able to break down and spend that much on cut fabric yet.
I did have a question for you though. Did you piece different fabrics together on your binding in the photo above? If so, love it! Would you share how in a different post?

Yes, Cheryl, I did piece a couple of strips together to make the binding. I'll look at doing a tutorial soon so check back sometime next week 😉
