I’ve been meaning to scrap these gorgeous photos for ages but finally got to it over the weekend. I’ve put them on my Everyday Display magnetic board so they are displayed in our kitchen for a while, but they are also the first photos for this year’s scrapbook album. I’ve decided to use the beautiful Black and White paper range from Creative Memories this year, with splashes of whatever colours suit the photos. Should give me lots of scope for colour!
The last two years I have used a similar album idea and it has worked well so I’m going with it again. I have 12 double layouts, one for each month, which include a “calendar” with activities from that month filled in, and the pick of the photos taken that month. Then I have the rest of the photos I take to use in additional layouts at the end of the album, in whatever order I do them. Before coming up with this plan, I had tried to scrap each year chronologically and found it hard to make sure everything stayed in order. This way I don’t worry about the order after the monthly pages, and can scrap my “just printed” favourites when they get home! It also makes it easy to put the album away at times, and not have to think too hard when I get it out again. So that’s the plan… and here’s the first layout 😉
