My Favourite Sewing Tip – Scissors trick

Just thought I’d share a little thing that makes my sewing life easier…
I have attached my small scissors to a length of ribbon
which I have looped around the thread spool in the top of my sewing machine.
The scissors are always there when I need them
The ribbon loop is also useful when I want to hang them round my neck
as I sometimes do when I’m hand sewing on the couch in front of the TV.
What little tricks work for you?

    My recent amazing trick has been to unpack my sewing machine. I've even been having fun with it, which for the last 7 years or so I must have assumed wouldn't happen on unpacking.

    For my next trick … I'm making myself that empire-waisted apron I told you about.

  2. Good idea, I may just go do that I'm always searching for scissor when I'm at the machine, only to find them buried under scraps.

  4. I adore the idea. I have always had to dig ( sometimes very deep) for my nippers.I end up using another apir and lossing them too.
