Do you have an Advent Calendar for your family?
A special calendar where you count down from the
beginning of December to Christmas?
We have a wooden one with little doors all around the edge
and a magnetic scene in the middle.
In each box there is a magnet to create the picture –
animals, Wise Men, Shepherds, Angels, and the baby Jesus, of course.
But I’ve been seeing lots of crafty versions lately
so I thought I’d share a collection…
This one is made using baby food jars – cute, huh?
You can find it at It’s Two AM
including Cheryl’s tips on what to hide inside each one.
These gorgeous paper cones are at Callaloo Soup
with full instructions on how to make them.
These boxes are decorated with washi tape
and you can find the notes at Omiyage
These cute stockings are made from paper and cardstock
And finally Julie Ree is selling the pattern for these beauties on Etsy.
I especially love the cherry garland they hang on!

Loving all these ideas, better yet, unlike sewing something which can fray, paper & card has neat edges, yippee!! Might give the cones a go, with 4 children, i have to stick a lot in each 'advent' day!! Love Posie

What a lovely collection. I don't have an advent calendar. Just two of us home here.

I absolutely love the tradition of Advent Calendars. We have a simple wooden one from Restoration Hardware, and I love shopping all year long for little trinkets to put inside for the girls!
What a wonderful collection of Advent projects. Thank you!
