I call this my Tula Pink Quilt because the fabric is a range called Hushabye designed by Tula Pink.
It’s not my usual style.
This is quite modern and pretty while I tend to like more “country quilt” colours – you know: red, navy, bottle green.
But I wanted to try something different with a crisp white background.
I bought this as a jelly roll so half the cutting was done and I’ve been working on it every now and then between other projects.
The pattern is from this book – which I love!
Finally all I have to do is join the blocks and add the setting triangles.
Of course, I find that I don’t have the fabric for the triangles!
In my stash was a cute choice – white with tiny pink spots.
But I don’t have enough so I tried to get some more.
None left!
Luckily they did have the same with blue spots.
Here it is laid with the blocks:
Lovely! I only wish that I was this clever 🙂
Wow! Very creative. The color of your quilt is very cute so as the design. They are perfect for my room. Thanks for the inspiration.
The quilt is lovely. It reminds me of a quilt when I was young.
From the photo the blue looks so light that I can't really tell it isn't white. I'm not sure if it's like that in real life, but I like it! 🙂
I think it looks great! But like Kara said we can hardly tell it's not solid white. My opinion: even if it shows up more in person, it would still be very pretty! Love color scheme btw
Happy crafting!
Linda
I think it is pretty!! 🙂
i'd love to help you out, but the only crafting I am good at is the ones in computer games 🙂
Me mum on the other hand is a pro hehehe.. I can ask her.
