While researching skirts for my post on wrap skirts,
I found this beauty.
Now I realise it wouldn’t be everyone’s choice
but I love that she pieced all those squares to create something so beautiful!

What a lovely skirt! I probably wouldn't wear one out, but it makes such a beautiful photo.

Oh my goodness. I totally LOVE this skirt! I have an ongoing love affair with rainbow colours, and I love me a fun, funky, chunky skirt like that! If I had a skinnier tummy, I'd wear it!
I'm seeing it grunged up a bit – black skinny tee and black boots with straps and buckles or something, with the cloud of rainbow colour in the middle there. But certainly not with my giant bust above it. Shame. (Nothing a reduction couldn't fix.)
I was devastated to see the maker had such negative comments from some. I too feel criticism very deeply, and I understand how it would always tarnish the pride she felt for completing this project.
I guess that to comment and encourage her, I'd need to be a member? I didn't find a comment box there.

AND … the thousand-dollar junk that fills our fashion runways is completely impractical and unwearable outside the rarefied atmosphere of runway fashion – why can't this be the maker's signature fashion piece that isn't really meant to be WORN, but instead for display? Or winning a prize at the show? Any fashion student would get top marks for this in an assignment. It doesn't have to suit the school run or a trip to Woollies.
