Crafty Packaging

crafty packaging
Did I mention that I had a couple of sales from my Madeit store recently?
I was VERY excited.
I thought I’d show you the packaging I came up with.
I wanted to use brown paper and stitching.
I ended up with zigzag around the edges
and some cute washi tape that added a splash of colour.
The zigzag edges were done with my pinking shears.
I’m thinking I could use various colours with the brown paper.
What do you think?
Any suggestions?

I love love love your packaging. Makes the parcel that little bit more special and I'm sure the person who receives it will keep the envelope.

I think it's lovely – and yes, you could use other colours.

Great idea, I would stick to the brown paper, but that's my opinion.

    You've stitched paper?

I would never have thought of that! I bet sewing that sounds funny.

It does sound kind of weird, Crazy Sister. But I know scrapbookers who sew on their layouts so I figured it'd work.

Love the packaging! Anything to take it out of the same old/same old is good in my book.

One tip: keep one needle (or set of needles) for stitching paper as paper dulls needles (just like scissors) faster than fabric.
