Party Bags

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Tagged With: Bags, Kids, Party Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

Kids birthday parties can mean heaps of lollies after the event.
My kids are sweet enough
So I really like party bags that include things to play with
rather than eat.
When my youngest had his birthday party a couple of weeks ago
I had no trouble finding Pirate themed gifts for the boys
but I wanted something more “girly” for the girls.
At the last minute I decided to whip up a few little bags
for the girls to take home.
Of course I was in such a flap that week
that I forgot to take pictures of them all.
But here’s the one that ended up with my own girly girl.
The fabric came from Retro Mummy
(who has since closed her cute online store
but you can still enjoy her blog)
and the ribbon was conveniently in my stash.

Very cute fabric and I'm sure the little girls would have loved having fabric bags to take home.

Hi I agree with you about all that sugar going into those little bodies. I've just started making button/badges which are great for treat bags.

That's a great idea, Kate. One party we went to gave the girls little craft projects – beading and painting.
