The lovely Di from Quiltitis came to visit me this weekend and, of course, we spent some time sewing.
Di worked on a couple of quilt tops. This is her Christmas quilt that she has worked on for a while now. The mitred borders have finished it off beautifully.
She also worked on a very pretty girly quilt top. I love the birdy fabric in this one. I’m sure Di will post more photos on the Quiltitis blog as well as details of the designer whose name I have forgotten.
I needed to make a couple of cushions for a friend, but I wanted to make sure I knew how to put in the hidden zippers so I made two for my kids in red and blue first. I followed this great tutorial.
I made two more in chocolate brown and this fabric which you might recognise from my store. I love these! I hope my friend does too.
I also made a little pile of items for my store. Click on each one to see more details over on Madeit.
I was surprised to notice that I now have around 70 items in my store. I’m going to have to hide these space pencil cases though so that Mr Happy doesn’t claim them!
How was your weekend? Did you get crafty?
