Are you a lurker?
Do you read The Crafty Mummy but never say Hi to me?
I’m really friendly you know!
And I love to chat (just ask my friend B!)
So I’m challenging you to say something – ANYTHING! – to me today.
- Tell me what you love about my blog…
- Tell me what you hate about my blog…
- Tell me what you’d like to see more of…
- Tell me what crafty projects you’ve been working on lately…
- Ask me a question…
- Seriously! ANYTHING!
How?
Leave a comment. Click on the word “Comments” under the blogpost title, or the link at the bottom of the email, or the blog post title in the RSS feed item. (You can do it! I know you can!)
Yes. I am a lurker. I always look at your blog but never usually have time to comment! You are doing some wonderful things and you should know that even though I don’t usually post a comment, you have continually inspired me to craft over the past two weeks. I have now completed at least twelve new things to add to my store, and a whole stash of things ready for the mothers day stall at school. Thank you!
Aww… thanks, Paige! Can’t wait to see the new things for your store
I’ve commented before 🙂 But I’ve been a lurker in the past! I always LOVE to read tutorials so that’s what I love about your blog – you have so much knowledge, it’s nice to see how you make the things you do. I could always see more tutorials! Talk soon, K
I love writing the tutorials too, Kath, so I must come up with some more soon…
Lovely Site, Thx! Keep up the good work.
Ok, guilty as charged, lol!
I love to come visit your blog and just drool over your gorgeous creations and dream about one day being able to sew!
Michelle :o)
Thanks Michelle. You might not sew but your cards are GORGEOUS!
Aw, thanks for sending some love my way! You are so sweet!
I am a lurker too…. I love seeing what you are up to and the lovely crafty things you do. Very inspiring! One day I will have time to do more of these kinds of things!
Love that I have your number, I am much better at talking than commenting!
I can’t get upset at you though, B, since I “lurk” at your blog all the time!
hi,
I read crafty mumy and following you from Turkey.. I just wnted to say hello.. it is a good blog, I wait to my blog as well:)
Thanks Dilek. I can’t read a word over at your blog of course but your kids are so cute!
Hi Tonya – yes sorry I have to confess I am a lurker!!! I have started another quilt … really enjoying having a sewing machine again … it’s been 20 or so years!!! I do enjoy reading your blog. Sara
It’s never too late too late to get out that sewing machine again, Sara. We must have coffee one day and catch up – sorry for being a pretty slack friend!
Coffee sounds great, would love to catch up – as I said to Serena recently not slack … we are all busy!!! I am gearing up for a quilting day tomorrow – trying to finish a front.
Quilting day sounds lovely! I’ll be looking for photos at the end of the day…
Well… I’m brand new to reading your site, but so far – I love it! {I think I found you via Google+}
Hi Rebecca! Great to see you here. You have beautiful photos and clever ideas over there on your blog! I’m going to have to browse more…
Yup, that’s me; a “lurker” and never leaving comments. But I do love your blog and have to tell you, as with any blog, I read for the tutorials! You ladies are a wealth of information and you so unselfishly share! Thank you!
Signed…..A “Lurker”
Desi
Thanks, Desi! Another call for more tutorials… sounds like I’d better get to work!
My name is Julianne… and I’m a Lurker… 🙂
You’re a lovely lurker to have, Julianne
Hi, just turned from lurker to commenter thanks to your post on google+. 🙂
Yay!!! Good to see you here!
I love love your blog and all your work, I’m sorry I only read it in my inbox and don’t come over and say hi, more often. Keep up the great work, We are here and we are reading.
Thanks Sonia. It’s good to know that you’re reading on email
Hi, I honestly had been here 3 minutes when I saw this post funny girl, I don’t wanna be a lurker…so hello from Texas, your crochet tips look good, think I’ll learn something here. Thanks, I like your blog
Hi Jenn! Lovely to see some new readers saying Hi as well!
Hi there Tonya. I’m a lurker from South Africa. I love to quilt and sew and really enjoy your site. The tutorials are great.
Hi Lisa. I love international visitors!
I confess, I too am a lurker. Shame on me for not taking a minute or two to say something. I love your posts & if I don’t always comment, please forgive this busy Mum.
I understand, Mary, being a busy Mum too. I just thought it’d be interesting to see who came out to say hi on this post – and it’s been fun to read the comments!
I love how you’re calling all of us “lurkers” out of the shadows. Too Funny! I enjoy your blog.
Thanks!
Glad you “came out”, Barbara! Off to visit your blog…
i lurk on yours everyday
Sweet!
I’m a lurker too. I subscribe through Google reader and don’t take time to come comment on your great ideas. I used your Baby Singlet tutorial to make some onesies for my grandson. It was a fun and quick craft.
Thanks, Pat. I have used the baby singlet stitching for lots of special new babies
Yes, I am a lurker as well 🙂 I used to swing by and comment all of the time but lately I have been so busy that I just haven’t had time. It is so ironic that you posted this because I have been trying to be much better about all of it 😉 I guess I love looking at your blog because I can’t even begin to sew and it is just amazing to see what you can create with such beautiful fabrics.
Hello Tonya, greetings from the Netherlands! I’m also a lurker, I came to your site on advice from my sister. I’ve been reading your tutorials about picasa. Fantastic stuff! I love the layout of your site, it’s very easy to find things.
One thing: under the comment box there’s a tick-box for “COMMENTLUV”, what’s that for?
Hi Nerrida! Thanks for stopping by.
If you have a blog and you use your URL in your comment, then CommentLuv will find your latest post in your feed and display it with your comment here on my blog.
I am a lurker!! Its because I am a little IT illiterate and don’t know the system. I live in beautiful sunny Australia and I subscribe to your newsletters. I love checking out the other sites you recommend, but never leave comments – to be honest I wasn’t sure I was allowed to!! I am learning. I would love to do a blog myself about my adventures as a Pommie down Under – I will have to get lessons from my 13, 15 and 17 year old and see where it takes me!
So lets see if I have done this right x
Thank you, Louise! So lovely to hear from you. I’m in sunny Australia too. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have about blogging when you decide to get started.
And yes, you did it right!
Looking forward to more comments,
Tonya
I’m not lurker, but there is something I’d like. A button that moves me from one post to the next. There may be such a thing but there is so much on your blog site that I can’t see it for looking. I am currently working through all your posts since 29 February and it’s very frustrating going back to Google Reader at the end of every post, especially since I am trying to navigate with my new iPad which is still a bit tricky for me! (Google Reader still gets multiple warnings of posts that have been and that is also annoying. However, I know you are aware of it and can’t fix it.)
And the best thing, apart from content, is that you have no difficult-to-read word verification to negotiate!
Hi Lovely Lynne!! I just got the kids to bed and saw all your lovely comments! I’m going to go and look right now at how I can turn on the “Next” link for you… stay tuned!
Oh Lynne all your lovely comments are making me teary!
But I have added some next/previous arrows – I hope they work on your iPad! Now you may need to empty the cache on your browser – If it is Safari, click “Safari” at the top left then choose “Empty Cache”.
Then when you go to a post you should see grey arrows near the top on each side right near the edge of the screen. If you hover over them, they should tell you the name of the next post or previous post then you click to go there.
Hope that makes your reading easier!
