My friend Di from Quiltitis visited last week for a quilting day. She arrived with her gorgeous new Pfaff machine and some finished quilt tops to show off. Last year on Craft Retreat she was working on these blocks with Australian floral fabric. Now the top is finished ready to sandwich and quilt. Isn’t it lovely?
I planned to work on a baby charm quilt, but in the end I worked on coin purses that were waiting for quilting and zippers. The finished products are pretty cute!
Di is great with our kids so when Little Miss wanted a sewing project, Di set her up with a butterfly to sew. I’m sure she made it up on the spot!
I’ll post the tutorial for that butterfly soon so keep an eye open for it. It would be a perfect project for the school holidays.

Didn’t little miss do well? I hope the doll enjoys resting her head in such a lovely pillow.

Do you have a pattern for your friends block quilt? I love the way it flows together. Can it be made with layer cake and charm pack? Looking forward to your reply.

No I’m sorry I don’t have the pattern for my friend’s quilt.
