Sometimes my head is full of new sewing projects I want to start on. At that moment I’m dreaming of a custom doona cover for a little boy in greens, yellows and oranges.
I’m also dreaming of an all white quilt with texture for a long overdue wedding present.
I’m also dreaming of Christmas projects and quilts that I haven’t finished yet and aprons for little girls.
But the reality when I walk into my sewing room is that I have a bunch of half-finished projects waiting to be done.
So yesterday I finished some coin purses with racing cars and owls.
I also finished another 5 minute scarf in blues and greens. I’m really hoping I can find some more of this fabric for special sashes for the Creative Craft Retreat team too.
I also finished a huge A4 pencil case to go with the library bag I made last week for a little boy starting prep next year. He also is getting a matching standard pencil case and a coin purse.
Finally I also finished a flannel wrap to go to Handmade Highstreet where I already have some flannel wraps for sale.
So it was a productive couple of hours and got me that little bit closer to the other new projects that I’m dreaming of…

I love your finished projects. That owl fabric is darling. I always seem to start new projects and rarely finish the ones that I am working on.

Sounds just like me, sometimes I think I like the planning and possibilities more than the actual making!
