half square triangles quilt

There are so many gorgeous Christmas fabrics around at the moment, and I did make a Christmas quilt recently with some of it – this Christmas Triangles Quilt.

But here is Australia it is Summer for Christmas so we really don’t need quilts! How else can you use the gorgeous Christmas fabrics? Do I have ideas for you!

bunting tutorial red white Christmas

{Bunting Tutorial}

There are lots of pre-printed bunting panels around at the moment, but this tutorial shows you how to make simple bunting from any fabric. This year I plan to make mini bunting as well.

Christmas table runner patchwork

{Table runners and Placemats}

Your Christmas table will look pretty with a runner whether it is plain or patchwork. You can also put runners on sideboards, coffee tables and mantles. For smaller tables, try place mats and coasters instead.

Christmas apron gingerbread house {Aprons}

These aprons used a border print but they’d be pretty in any combination of Christmas fabrics. There are printed panels around for aprons as well.

Christmas pillowcase gingerbread houses
{Pillow Cases}

When we were kids we used pillow cases as Santa Sacks on Christmas Eve. They would be “miraculously” filled with toys during the night! These pillow cases could be used as sacks as well, but I do know people who put special christmas pillow cases on their kids pillows for Christmas Eve.

{Gift Bags}

Create a Christmas tradition with gift bags that are reusable in any size and shape.

Christmas skirt

{Kids Clothes}

Who can go past cute clothes on the kids for Christmas? Whether it is a simple T-shirt or skirt, or a more elaborate dress, the effort is worth it.
