There’s a new feature on Pinterest that is great for those of us who sell their handmade items on Etsy. It is called Rich Pins. It means that anything pinned from Etsy onto a Pinterest board automatically has a special new section below the pin which is updated automatically with the price and availability of the item.
There are also rich pins for some recipes which include information about the cooking time, ingredients and more. Some movie pins, for example those from Netflix, will have rich pins which include ratings and more detailed movie information.
You can read more about Rich Pins on the Pinterest Business pages. There is a way to apply for pins from your site to be rich pins as well, but the technicalities were way over my head! I would love to see rich pins apply to my Madeit and Ecwid stores as well so I hope this is something that is added soon.
