I mentioned earlier in the week that Madeit had a makeover recently which means my store there has had a little makeover too. Fun! Here’s my new banner – it was time for a change and I couldn’t resist the birdy.
There are lots of changes to improve things in the back-end of Madeit for sellers as they list things in their shops. But there are also a few changes that buyers can see.
You can now purchase from Madeit as a ‘Guest’ without having to set up a profile. This is great for new customers who may not have shopped on Madeit before. I have already had some guests buying in my shop since the upgrade and they say it is easy. One lady said she completed the whole sale on her smart phone so that’s a great thing to be able to do. You can still sign up for a free account which allows you to send messages to ask questions on items within the Madeit website, and to give feedback to shops you buy from.
Next, buyers can now use coupons from stores on Madeit. So if you were on my Facebook page the other day you would have seen me offer a coupon to get free postage on all orders. These are super easy for sellers to create now and I’m planning to write a tutorial on how to do it very soon. This is a long-awaited change that sellers have been asking for so it is great to have this feature. Coupons can offer a discount in percentage or dollar value, or offer free postage. I am currently offering my Weekly News readers a discount coupon.
There are also updates to the Search and Favourites, but my favourite new feature so far is not having to log in every time I visit. Now I stay logged in all the time.
Madeit is having a Launch Party Week from Monday on their Facebook Page so make sure you check it out.
