Each year I help to organise the Creative Craft Retreat. This is a crafty weekend for women held at the beautiful Lake Perseverance outside Crow’s Nest, about an hours drive from Toowoomba in South East Queensland. The weekend is a chance to learn a new craft skill or work on a project from your stash with a lovely group of friends and teachers.
This year we are offering these classes
Patchwork – to make a simple quilt from a jelly roll
Mixed Media – to make a gorgeous canvas wall art
Silk Ribbon Embroidery – to make a pretty picture
Painted Canvas – to make a textured artwork
Origami – to make a paper ball and boxes
There are also many attendees who bring scrapbooking, crochet, knitting or sewing projects of their own to work on. I love to see the variety of crafts each year – and yes, you can expect to see some pictures from this weekend after the event.
The last couple of years I have taught patchwork but this year I’m teaching origami – just for a change! I’m also hoping to get a UFO or two finished but we’ll see.
The Creative Craft Retreat is being held on November 1st to 3rd and you can register online right now. Registrations close on October 4th 2013. For more information including prices check out the website here, where you will also find the link to register.
