These paper plate angels are an easy Christmas craft. At first I thought they would be great for the kids, and perhaps they would be great for older kids than mine. But my kids found it a little tricky to cut the fine detail of the head and body out without ripping the plates. They also found it too hard to push my punches through the thickness of the cardboard. So this lovely angel was created by Mummy, not kids!
I found the template for these over at Martha Stewart’s website, but I modified it to make them easier to cut. I suspect hers were made with smaller plates than our 225mm plates, but the larger plates created larger wings. They would be fabulous on a table with a tea light underneath them, but you would want to find LED tea lights rather than candles for safety.
