I’m kicking off this new series of posts today called “Sets of 7”. These are prompted by all the new visitors that have dropped by lately and got me thinking. These will all be sets of seven great posts from The Crafty Mummy Archives that you may not have seen before if you’ve only been hanging around here for a little while. I’ve been writing online for about 5 years now so there are some things that were only seen by a handful of visitors back in the day.
7 Rainbow Cross Stitch Blocks
When I created the rainbow cross stitch series, I was in love from the start. I love cross stitch but it is one of those crafts that I haven’t done of a lot of in more recent years and I really wanted to inspire myself to start stitching again. With rainbows and quilt blocks on the brain one day, the rainbow blocks were created – and most of them were created in a couple of days of playing with colours! This is my favourite seven of them.
1. Chevron – Block 5
2. Chevron Playtime – Block 8
3. Courthouse Steps – Block 2
4. Bricks – Block 9
5. Stripes – Block 1
6. Log Cabin – Block 6
7. Chinese Coins – Block 3
Bonus:
For the colours of the threads, check out the first post here.
There are also a couple of mini quilts based on these – find out more here.
