Have you heard of QuiltyBox yet? Hundreds of people have and this month they received a box with items curated by me! This was such a cool project to be involved in but I’m still waiting for my box to arrive. Being in Australia it is taking a little while to get here.
In the meantime I couldn’t resist sharing a few pictures with you thanks to the QuiltyBox team.
Every month the box includes some fabric, a pattern and some tools or notions to go with it so you can create something beautiful.
My patterns are all here on the blog so instead of a printed pattern, this month included a special card with links to my Rainbow Mini Quilts page. These mini quilts have been an ongoing project for me and there will be more to come. In fact I created another one just before this box was released so there was something special and new for subscribers.
Also in the box this month is some cute Riley Blake fabric. I must admit I seem to love all the fabric released by Riley Blake but these rainbow dots were the perfect match for my rainbow theme.
The rest of the box is filled with some of my favourite tools, thanks to Clover. I use my finger presser whenever I can’t be bothered getting up from my sewing machine to go to the ironing board – which is almost always! – and my clover clips seem to feature in a lot of my Instagram pictures lately. I never seem to have enough pins and these flower head pins are great for piecing because they are flat so they won’t create bumps in your work or stop you sewing close to them. The needle threader is never going to go astray – and I think my Little Miss will be keen to steal it!
Finally the Foot Magic is going to make sewing those specialty fabrics easier. It sticks to the base of your sewing machine foot and grips the fabric so you can easily sew things that are a little shiny or super light weight. Then it just peels off again when you’re done. Clever!
If you’re not a QuiltyBox subscriber, make sure you check out their website. I’ve been gifted three boxes so far – thank you! – and each one has made me want to sit down at the machine and sew straight away. It is a lovely way to get a burst of inspiration for a great price each month.
QuiltyBox still has some boxes available on their website here. Use the code below to get $12 off if you decide to subscribe.
