My Physie girl is asking for leg warmers as the weather cools so I have collected a bunch of patterns & tutorials for crochet leg warmers for you to try too.
My Physie girl is getting chilly as we start to go into Winter here in Australia so she has requested some leg warmers.
Of course, I’m planning to crochet them so I’ve been on the look out for some tutorials and patterns to try.
Here’s the best of them so you can make some too – click on the pictures to go through to the tutorials.
These look super easy using double crochet the whole way. It is a very detailed video tutorial too – great for a beginner!
This one is a little more tricky but you end up with a lovely pattern of ridges. It is designed for a small child but you could easily add some more stitches to your original chain to make it larger for an older child or adult.
These vertical stripes are super cool and just take a little more measuring at the start of the project. Another easy to follow video tutorial.
This next one is a written tutorial rather than a video but it has great step-by-step photos and I love the pattern in this pair.
These have a lovely ribbed section top and bottom but the pattern is written rather than visual so you may need for crochet experience to tackle it.
This pair also has a ribbed section plus a pretty pattern in the leg section. Certainly one for more advanced crocheters.
These are super funky! The different yarns, colours and stitches would make them so fun!
Finally, this last pair is actually knitted but I love the idea of creating leg warmers that would keep the whole leg warm. I’m sure you could adjust some of the above crochet patterns to be longer, or click through to see the knitting pattern for these.
Look out next for my finished leg warmers soon and all the info on how I made them – they are on my hook right now!
