How did we get to Friday again?! Where did my week go?!?
I feel like I’ve a week of running this week partly because it feels like a short week. My boy had a student free day on Monday so I was home and not really working with him here. That was fine but it meant then I kind of lost a day when I would normally be answering emails and doing online work. I’m full of ideas lately for things I want to update here on the website and new projects I want to create. I have so many ideas and not enough hours or energy to do them all. But I’ve been trying and I have to remind myself that every step forward is getting a little closer.
Anyway, on to some fun crafty things I’ve come across this week.
I make no secret that I am a self-taught quilter. It is little videos like this one from Leah Day that have been my source of inspiration and knowledge. She always has great vision, clear sound and easy to follow instructions in her tutorials. This latest one teaches you to create the cutest heart quilting.
I LOVE these gingerbread house gift boxes created by Brittany at The House that Lars Built! Sometimes you see a project that makes you want to close the computer and grab a pen and START and this was the one for me this week. Sadly when you’re browsing Pinterest late at night you can’t really just start something like this.
This class on Skillshare is another one that I’ve been watching recently and trying to improve my water brush lettering. The class is taught by Teela Cunningham and goes through lots of basics – tools and techniques – as well teaching you how to create a simple project. I signed up to a 3 month subscription for less than $1 and have watched a bunch of classes so it has been well worth it. Check it out here.
I’d love to learn to C2C (corner to corner) crochet. I’ve seen heaps of cute projects around. One Dog Woof has a great series of tutorials for this so I’m definitely adding this to my crafty bucket list!
I’ve been spending some time reviewing the amazing resources in the upcoming Genius Bloggers Toolkit (I got a little sneak peek as an affiliate) and I think my brain is frying from information overload! There is so much great content and I could name a bunch of programs within the bundle that have already made it worth spending money on – except I can’t name them just yet! The bundle will be available for 7 days from October 26 and I will definitely tell you why I think it is worth buying when the time comes. In the meantime if you’re a blogger then you might want to become an affiliate as well by clicking here.
