Drawing Mandalas on iPad with Procreate

Sometimes you come across a class or tutorial that teaches you a skill that you just NEED to try STRAIGHT AWAY!

That’s how I felt yesterday about the Geometric Design on the iPad – Mandalas in Procreate class that I found on Skillshare.

Look at these beauties that I created!!

You might remember that I updated to an iPad Pro last Christmas with an Apple Pencil as a bonus. I really wanted to try writing calligraphy with the pencil and invested in an app called Procreate. It is such a powerful app and I’ve had fun playing with it. You can create art in layers using “brushes” which can be just like drawing with real brushes.

I had mostly tried lettering and calligraphy until I came across this mandala class.

Skillshare is a teaching platform for which you pay a monthly subscription. It has classes covering all kinds of things including art, business, computer programming, cake decorating, accounting and so much more. I certainly don’t take full advantage of my subscription so I have been trying to make time every few days to watch a class.

Every class I’ve taken has been excellent with good audio, clear visuals or videography, and presenters that know what they are talking about. As much as I love the free tutorials on YouTube, I know I will get a quality class on Skillshare and won’t be wasting my time.
