ModernQAL: Escalator Block

This month’s Modern QuiltAlong block is the Escalator Block – so happy with the crisp clean lines of this one! Cate over at Life Behind the Purple Door is hosting the tutorial this month and I love the fabrics she has used.

Just a little tip from my experience sewing this block: I ironed all the seams in the escalator section away from the squares and towards the triangles. You can get some idea from this picture of the back of my block. This meant that when I joined the little rows, the seams locked together beautifully creating nice neat matching points on the front.
