and sew we crafty photo a day january

The Craft Photo a Day prompts for January have been put together by Talia this month. Talia writes with us over at And Sew We Craft and also writes her own blogs, but she is mostly playing with her beautiful new baby at the moment I think!

You may have seen my pictures coming up on Instagram or Facebook but I thought I’d gather the first few here to share as well. If you’d like to find more people joining in with our Craft Photo a Day series, look for the hashtag: #ASWCraftPhotoaday.

love the life you live red heart on green

Day 1: Red

I realised I didn’t tag a “red” photo, but this is one of my favourites in the last few days. The heart is made from wire ribbon I made on my overlocker.

Day 2: Dye

Try as I might I could not come up with any inspiration for this prompt! Zip. Zilch. Nada. Sigh.

Day 3: Write

Every year I plan to write a gratitude diary and this year I have got as far as selecting a notebook to use for it.

Day 4: Computer

My computer has a lovely handmade slip case that also doubles as a mat to protect my table.

Day 5: Create

Thinking about creating last weekend while watching the cricket inspired this pink palate. Did you know it was the Pink Test?

Day 6: Paper

Little Miss is learning to sew on her new sewing machine starting with sewing on paper to practice.

Day 7: Collection

My collection of Lintott quilt books grew over Christmas with the Dessert Roll Quilts book. (Look out for a book review soon – here’s the review of the last one I got)
