four for friday kids

We’re about to start school holidays here in Australia and I know there are Summer holidays in the U.S. so it seemed that “Kid Stuff” was the perfect theme for today’s Four for Friday. Click on the pictures or the titles to see the original posts with all the details, or find more ideas for Crafty Kids in the Archives.

Rainbow Loom Fishtails and Rings

Rainbow Looms are still the toy of choice at our place with a second one coming into our house recently. Now both my kids are getting up early to make bracelets, especially ones that glow in the dark! This is one of the favourite things that Little Miss has made: the fishtail bracelet and a matching ring. Find links to the tutorials by clicking on the picture.

Balloon Powered Lego Car

One of the most popular posts ever here at The Crafty Mummy is this one to build a Lego car that is powered by a balloon. I’m sure we will be seeing plenty of Lego creations this holidays.

Build an Obstacle Course

Rainy days and cold days see us staying inside a lot so when the kids have too much energy and get a little stir crazy, I encourage them to build an obstacle course. They can get really creative about using things from around the house like chairs, bean bags and baskets. Check out our tips and ideas in this post.

She has a bag half finished already so that might be the starting point. Find all my tips for getting kids started on a sewing machine in this post.
