Rainbow Loom: Bouncy Ball

These are one of my son’s – aka Mr Happy’s – favourite rainbow loom things to make. He has made at least a dozen and given them to his mates at school. They are little bouncy balls, and are one of the main things that my kids wanted a Monster Tail Loom for.

The monster loom has less pegs but they are arranged in a circle so you can make slightly different things with it. These balls are quick and are filled with more loom bands.

They really do BOUNCE! But I love them because unlike some of the other bouncy balls here at Crafty HQ these ones are so small that they can’t break anything they bounce into – my biggest fear when balls are bouncy in the house is that they will knock over something precious! These are harmless so he can bounce them as much as he likes.

He used this tutorial from Tutorials by A on YouTube to make them:

Thanks so much for posting the YouTube vid! My son has a small plastic ball that he bounces around but I’m afraid it might knock down a small vase or two one of these days. These don’t look like they have that much weight in them and so are totally harmless!

You’re welcome, Michelle. These are teeny tiny so they really can’t break stuff – perfect for inside!

Oh she will have fun, Cathy! We got our rainbow looms at Spotlight but I have also seen them at Lincraft and online at Amazon.
