How to Thread your Pfaff Bobbin

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing, Tutorials Tagged With: Pfaff, Sewing machine Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

My dear friend, Mummy J, bought a great new Pfaff sewing machine, which her very cute son thinks is a coffee machine (tee hee) only to discover that it didn’t have a manual!

So here are the photos we took to help her thread her bobbin next time – when I’m not around.

If you have a Pfaff machine there’s a good chance yours will thread just like this too.

Bobbin casing with the big gap to the left.

Bobbin with thread at the top right.

Drop the bobbin in and slip the thread into the slit.

Hold the little latch open as you pop it back in. It should look like this.

Turn the wheel towards you and hold the top thread as the needle goes down to pick up the bobbin thread.

Have fun sewing!!

I had guessed who Mummy J was … and I was right! So cute – a coffee machine! Hang on little N – Daddy may disagree with me, but I'm not sure you need 2 coffee machines in the house!

I enjoyed reading about your pfaff sewing machine, but I thought in your earlier tutorials you used a baby lock sewing machine. Which one do you prefer?

      Hi Darla,

I use a Pfaff sewing machine for most of my sewing, and a Babylock overlocker for overlocking or serging. I love both of them!
