Easy Easter Crafts for Kids

EasyEasterCraftsfor Kids

Easter is coming fast and it can be the perfect time to do a little crafting with the kids. But what can you do that is relatively easy and won’t bust the budget?

I think the best crafts are those that you have most of the supplies already at home and can pull out when you need to fill half an hour or so with excitable cherubs.

I’ve gathered some ideas for you starting with my current favourite, Melted Crayon Eggs. (Did you catch me talk to Luke and Susie about these recently?)

Melted Crayon Easter Eggs

A Thrifty Mom shows you how to create these masterpieces while your eggs are still hot from hard boiling. This can be a great chance to have the kids help you in the kitchen with boiling the eggs – with plenty of safety tips thrown in about touching hot things and so on. Then while the eggs are still hot they can draw!

Potato Stamped Easter Eggs

Michelle over at Crafty Morning shows you how to use your potatoes to create Easter egg stamps. I don’t know about you but I always seem to have a couple of potatoes in the bottom of the cupboard that really should have been used by now so they can be transformed into stamps without feeling guilty for wasting them.

Yarn Easter Eggs

Another easy idea is these yarn decorated eggs from Make & Takes. You could even extend this idea to other shapes – an Easter cross, bunnies, baskets and more. Perhaps they could glue on other things too – grab the scissors and chop up coloured paper for another easy idea.

Easter Egg Garland

Grab some of those plastic Easter eggs and string them into a garland to decorate the house, thanks to Kelly at Eclectically Vintage. Great for kids fine motor skills! Oval-shaped beads could also substitute for eggs.

It was fun seeing the Easter projects you presented. I have grown kids, so I was thinking these crafts could be done by our Seniors. Thanks, looking forward to more crafts.
