Card Holder

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Tagged With: Fabric, Gifts Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

We’re going to a birthday party!
For teenagers!
Now my kids are still young so buying for teenagers is quite different for me.
But the lucky birthday girl has a new Touch
so she was thrilled about the idea of some credit to spend on games.
Somehow just a little card didn’t seem enough
so I whipped up a holder for it.
She’ll be able to use it for her other cards too –
I figure a 13 year old at least has a library card!
So a couple of 5″x6″ rectangles for the cover
with a piece of iron-on interfacing to stiffen them a bit.
Some smaller rectangles (4.5″x5″) folded to form
the two inner pockets
and less than half an hour in sewing time.
Cute, huh?
I’m thinking the nephew might get a black one for his gift card…
Off to sew some more!

What a cute gift Idea. It's hard to shop for the nephew's so I give them money, I think from now own the cash is going to come in a handmade wallet.
