Box Rocket…

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Kids Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

 We have a spare bedroom.
It is kind of the junk room!
There’s furniture we don’t really need,
things we don’t use very often
and boxes.
Yes, boxes full of books
that have never been unpacked.
“When did you last move?” I hear you thinking.
Oh, about 3 years ago.
So every now and then I go in there
and try to sort things
and throw things out
and unpack a couple of boxes.
Yesterday that included these 4 boxes
which the kids immediately snaffled to play with.
I did say at the time that the boxes would need to end up
in the bin at the end of the day
but I just can’t bring myself to break up their creation now.

Am I the only one who has a spare room still full of boxes
that were never unpacked from their last move?

No, not the only one. We have unopened boxes from our redecorating at the end of 2007! Just waiting for some new storage!

This brings back memories. My sons are grown now, but one of their favorite things to do was to make forts and things out of boxes.

I love their rocket! Now they need to paint and decorate it.
I still have boxes in the shed that need unpacking. Mind you, we've only been here for 3 months.

Oh good, Lynne, I feel better that someone else has boxes!

And yes, Lesley, I figure the photos will help keep those memories.

Ky, I thought we'd do some painting but it has been really wet and cold so maybe later in the holidays when we can paint out on the deck

Thank you, My Mummy Daze. I appreciate your vote of support. I'll have to think about who to pass it on to…
