Advent Books 2012 List

advent books Christmas

This year for Christmas I gave my kids a whole series of Advent books. I had thought about doing it previously and had never got myself organised so this year I started early and ordered some of the books on Fishpond to get me started. I collected the rest bit by bit until I had 24 to wrap and number. The kids then opened one a day from December 1st through to Christmas Eve.

Most of the books were picture books which I figured they would grow out of soon. Then there was a short chapter book and one quite long book by JRR Tolkien. The whole collection was a huge hit!

Here are all the books, each one linking back to Fishpond where you can read more information.

I think the books are a fantastic idea. Some of our favourite characters are there. I will need a reminder about October next year so I can get it organised for our house!
