Yesterday Di from Quiltitis came to sew for the day with me. She had seen my sewing machine mat earlier in the week and wanted to make one, so I talked her through it. Here’s the result – isn’t it lovely!? She used a mix of left-over sweet roll strips and fat quarters, and deliberately made some wider than others. She also made her mat slightly deeper than mine so her machine can sit further back on the table, and created 4 pockets in front. Don’t you love the firefly fabric in the pocket? She was super happy with the result 🙂 I worked on more bags and some flannel baby wraps which I’ll post in the next couple of days.

That looks so great (and really handy, I would imagine!!). I'm only a beginner but even I can see how convenient that would be. Thanks for visiting and posting on my blog. I look forward to reading more of your posts!!!!
