My lovely kids are still young enough to think its ok to wipe sticky, dirty fingers on their chair when they’re eating… please tell me they grow out of this!!!
So I have always protected their chairs with a couple of old towels – mostly because they are easy to throw in the wash every couple of days. I had often thought I should make something that fitted better and didn’t slip off every time they wriggled, but never got to it… until a couple of days ago 🙂
So one old bath towel, a couple of lengths of elastic, some little bits of ribbon and press studs to clip around the chair backs, and I finished up with 2 chair covers that are still easy to throw in the wash when needed.

Oh the chair covers are brilliant!
I think I am a no-reply blogger, but I can't choose which email address I want to show: so far I can only see how Blogger will show the email address linked to my account, and it's got my full name in it! So I've never done the reply-by-email thing. Can I specify a new email address? I'd like to.
What a clever idea! Love it! I'm working on re-doing the seats of my kitchen chairs with ties right now. I think mine are past the wiping hands on chairs stage, but you never know, I guess…heh-heh

This is such a brilliant idea! Even though I can't sew to save my life I might put this on my "Have a go" list. With three young boys they will be perfect!
