This is latest quilt I have finished for my son.
It’s a raggy flannel quilt with flannel front and back.
This is a type of quilt-as-you-go quilt and it was super easy.
Often they are done with just squares,
but mine has rectangles as well, a block called a Disappearing Nine Patch.
The fabric is mostly a kids print from RJR Fabrics that I had been saving.
It has starting to cool down here in the last few weeks
so I wanted to create something snuggly for this winter.
Here’s what the back looks like:
Very basic navy and white – try to ignore the fluff!
Looking forward to some snuggling 🙂
Wonderful quilt, a great snuggle quilt for a cool night reading or watching TV. Have a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful! I'm sure he will love it.
it must be very comfortable to snuggle under this lovely quilt!

I haven't seen a raggy quilt with rectangles before–great stuff! It looks very snuggly too. 🙂
Nice the see the disappearing 9 patch done as a raggie. Very handsome.
I LUV rag quilts, especially denim ones! The denim rags out sooo good. 🙂 I've made one myself for my sister. Awesome quilt! Sew On!

WOW what a great looking quilt!
Twenty-five years ago, I made one of these for my son…he loved it! Very nice snuggly quilt!
Rag quilts rock. They get softer and snugglier the more they're used!
This is so gorgeous! I'm a rag quilt freak but i don't know how to make them. I have two in the family room that I bought years and years ago and they are still going strong. Wonderful!
What a beautiful snuggly quilt!
Lovely design. Such a delightful snuggly, cuddly quilt. You did a great job.

Awesome job! I know all about that darn lint….I made a rag quilt for a friend for her baby and the lint clogged up my washing machine filter several times. It sure turned out cute though! Thanks for linking @ It's Party Time Thursday~PonyTails&FishScales!

nice quilt==looks so comfy!! and i love disappearing 9 piece and have used it a few times.
Hi there! I have ALWAYS wanted to make a raggedy quilt and haven't….yet! Lovely!
great combo of disappearing 9patch and ragtime. It is interesting to see the trends in quilting. I'll bet if this festival was about6 years ago there'd have been tons of rag quilts-but this is the only one of seen so far this time.
Love this with the D9P – adds so much more dimension.
What a gorgeous quilt! You have done an amazing job on this. I really would love to tackle a quilt one day. Great inspiration. Thanks so much for joining The Sunday Showcase Party. I greatly appreciate it! Hope you are enjoying your week! ~ Stephanie Lynn

What was the squares size you started with?
Hi Estelle, I don’t have this blanket any more but from memory they were about 10″ or 12″ square. I hope that helps, Tonya
