Kid’s craft… CD spinner

This week I have helped out with the kids holiday program at our church.

The first day we made these cool spinners.

We used old CDs with a couple of holes drilled in them.

The kids spent most of the time decorating them

with felt pens, stickers and other bits and pieces.

Then we threaded some fancy string through them.

To spin, you hold the the string with the disc in the middle
then spin it round to “wind it up”.
Once it’s wound nice and tight
you pull the string tight and it spins the CD.

A bit tricky for my 4 year old
but the kids at the holiday program loved them!
