Beach Baby Quilt

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Quilting Tagged With: Gifts, Kids Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

I can finally show you a baby quilt I finished earlier in the year
because I have finally given it to the baby!
It could be used as a playmat, too.
I LOVE this one!
I wanted something quick and easy,
but something that could be for a baby or older child.
I’ve had this beach fabric and the couple of coordinating prints
in my stash for a number of years.
I cut some simple strips to keep the pictures intact
and some narrower strips from the coordinates.
But it needed something more…
the red spot was perfect!
The quilting is simply lines back and forth
and the back is a snuggly blue flannel.
This is not as tricky as the wedding quilt made for Mama
but hopefully just as treasured.

I'm sure the little one will love it. Looks fantastic. The spot really make it all pop

Great colors. The red dots does help with the color and braking up the print for a good coordinating look.

Thanks, Girls. I was wishing I had more of the fabric, but it turned out well with the addition of the spots.

Thanks Haley! That would be the fingers of my little helpers 😉
