A Special Delivery

It is Winter here and it is cold. As usual the kids have been a bit sick and have passed it on to me so I’ve been feeling a bit miserable.

But a special delivery brightened my day yesterday.

I won this lovely book by Bari J Ackerman plus a dozen fat quarters of fabric months ago in a blog giveaway.

It never arrived.

Eventually I sent an email about it and they said they’d send another one, but it never arrived.

Months later, I’ve totally given up on ever receiving this parcel, deleted the emails and forgotten about it when… it appears on my doorstep!

So thank you to Stash Books blog which hosted this giveaway that I won so many months back. The book is beautiful with lots of extra tips and suggestions amongst the gorgeous photos. Here’s the full name in case you want to see more. Inspired to Sew

  1. What a great pick me up for you! Those fabrics look like they could be quite inspiring. I’m still waiting on a Secret Santa from last Christmas….same deal, the first never arrived, so a second one was being sent out. You’ve given me some hope! haha

  4. I love getting parcels! I am expecting a hair removal kit after a certain little boy (with new shiny grommets) said my arms were hairier than his dad’s ….. Your parcel is far prettier than that.

  6. A surprise package is always fun on a dreary day. I would like to browse your book stash and get some inspiration. My son is getting married in October and I have 2 ringbearer pillows to make. However, Australia is a long way from Wisconsin so I will keep on dreaming.
