Crochet Hook Roll

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Tagged With: Crochet, Storage Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

Just had to share the gift I made for a friend last week. She was kind enough to help me start of my crochet ripple blanket. She let slip that she had lots of crochet hooks but nowhere to store them. So I made her something to say thanks and solve her dilemma.

This cute fabric is by Denis Schmidt and I got it from Spotlight. The roll includes a bunch of pockets and a ribbon to tye it up.

But my favourite feature is the little flap at the top to stop the hooks sliding out. I was feeling clever when I worked out how to create that bit!

What do you think? Any other folks out there need a spot for their crochet hooks?
Should I add a couple to my store? Should I write up the tutorial?

It’s very cute! I’ve seen the Denise Schmidt fabric around a few blogs now, i think I’ll be checking it out on my next trip to S.light.

I know it’s been over a year somce you showed us this Crochet Hook Roll, but I wanted to say how cute it is, and how much I appreciate the blending of sewing and crochet. I’ve got to make myself one (and one for my Mom-in-Law, of course!). If it weren’t for her, I would not be crocheting; she taught me when my husband first took me to meet her in Pennsylvania (we met and married in Mississippi; there’s a good story there) about 35 years ago! You have wonderful talent, Tonya, and the flap on the Hook Roll was a stroke of genius..
