Last week was Book Week here. For those that don’t have kids in Australian primary schools, that means the kids get to dress up as a book character and parade at school.
Little Miss has recently found Philomena Wonderpen books so she dressed up as Philomena: cute girly clothes with a big pen – easy!
Mr Happy appeared at breakfast in his school uniform but with a bit of coaxing decided to be a pirate like Captain Hook in Peter Pan: jeans, T-shirt and pirate eye patch – also easy!
If I were going to dress up for Book Week, I’d have to go as a quilt or a crochet blanket or a fabric scrap. After all, those are the characters in my favourite books!
