Please vote!

I’ve been blogging a while now. Around 2 years. But I still am amazed that I have readers and regulars who comment on my ramblings. Thank you!

Until recently I haven’t been confident to “put myself out there”. I have blogged as “Crafty Mummy” and used that name on Facebook and Twitter and everywhere else I have created accounts. It was a deliberate decision. I wanted to create a clear “brand” but more than that,  I wanted to be somewhat anonymous. Likewise I have been vague about where I live and careful about including pictures of my family.

But something has changed.

Perhaps it is the knowledge that there really are lots of lovely people who are reading my posts and chatting to me on Facebook – people I’ve never met and don’t really know me. Perhaps its the realisation that there are people who are prepared to pay me to have their ads in my sidebar.

Perhaps it is the increase in my own confidence in myself.

Whatever it is, I’m taking the next step. I’m planning to meet up with a group of bloggers in Brisbane at a Hello Blogger Event. I’m guest posting in a couple of places.
