Have you joined in the Modern Quiltalong over at And Sew We Craft yet? This month we are making a Megan’s Star block and as the month is nearly over I thought I’d best get on with it. In some ways I had been putting it off mentally thinking it looked like a tricky block, but I shouldn’t have worried. Once again the book provided excellent step-by-step instructions and a clear cutting list so it wasn’t as tricky I expected. The centre piece is fussy cut to feature the fabric which I love so you can see some more of the cute little dolls dresses in my print.
With the cutting done, the block came together quite easily. You can see the tutorial for this one over at Samelia’s Mum this month.

I know I said it on instagram, but I love this block. I am really enjoying seeing everyone’s blocks. We are all using the same patterns, but our blocks are all so different.
