Theme of the Week: Costumes

by Tonya Grant |Filed Under: Sewing Tagged With: Book Week, Costumes, Halloween, Kids Get a Weekly Update of all Articles

Last week was Book Week across many  Australian schools. The Children’s Book Council of Australia has been encouraging Book Week since 1945 so I remember dressing up as a child and having a book week parade just as my kids do now. Now that I’m a mum the costumes require some planning so this week my Theme of the Week is Costumes.

The Theme of the Week is a chance to feature some of the lovely Crafty Mummy readers’ work. Each week I will announce the theme on Facebook and in my Weekly News. If you have a post that you think fits the theme, you can share a link with me and I’ll share it with the world each Saturday. (Sorry! Running a little late this week!) It doesn’t have to be a new post or project. It can be something from your Archives. So keep an eye open for your chance to share.

Anne over at Domesblissity has created a Darth Vader costume that is super easy – and super cute! (Can Darth Vader be cute?!)

little red hen costume

Melissa created this clever Little Red Hen costume – I love that with kids it doesn’t have to be elaborate to work.

Hannah on Facebook shared this gorgeous picture of her daughter dressed as Boo from Monsters Inc – love it!

Thanks so much for including me in your round up Tonya. I appreciate it. Some great costumes in that lot.
