Last week while the ladies at my craft group were making Christmas tree tea towels, we had a little group of kids who had already finished up school for the holidays and were tagging along for the morning. The lovely B from BBeingCool was there with her cherubs and she generously volunteered to craft with the kids for the morning.
Now you might not know this, but when B is not blogging about fabulous food, what to wear and her new tree house, she teaches at a local primary school. I’ve always thought she would be a FUN teacher to have because she spends lots of time thinking about fun ways to teach stuff.
At the end of the school year her class made these cute peg angels and she brought along some spare kits for craft group. Her cherubs and the cherubs from Imagine. Make. Believe. had a lovely time making these from wooden pegs, silver doilies, card, pipe cleaners and glittery bits and pieces. I especially love the one with the yarn for hair!
If you need a quick craft to amuse the kids today as they get super excited about Christmas Eve tonight, this could be the one for you.
No wooden pegs? You could substitute twigs, paddle pop sticks or cardboard.
No doilies? You could substitute paper or fabric cut into a circle.
No pipe cleaners? You could substitute ribbon or tinsel.
