I thought I’d share four of my favourite posts from The Crafty Mummy archives this lovely Friday.
This might be my favourite block from the ModernQAL series of blocks. It is called Parisian Star and I shared the tutorial for it last February. It looks clever but it really was not that hard to create. Check out all the details in this post: Parisian Star.
This baby blanket is so soft and snuggly that I’ve been reluctant to give it away. The yarn is super thick so it was relatively quick to create, and the stitch made it just a little bit interesting. Find more pictures and the link to the tutorial in this post: Crochet Baby Blanket.
Need to get the homework area organised? How about chair bags to store some of those books and folders on the backs of the chairs. My kids use these at school and they are super quick to make. Find the tutorial here: Chair Bag Tutorial.
Finally a little stitching lesson: how to blanket stitch around the edge of a blanket. This is a great way to create a quick gift by edging a polar fleece blanket in a contrasting colour. Polar fleece is easy to work with as well as being snuggly and easy to wash. Check out the tutorial here: How to Blanket Stitch.
