Yesterday I was scrolling through my Instagram feed enjoying pretty pictures of quilts and crochet when I noticed a couple of smiling ladies with some McDonald’s golden arches behind them. At first I just scrolled past but then I stopped and went back… Sponsored!
Now I’m not a big fan of McDonald’s or any fast food chains so the last thing I want to see in my Instagram feed is ads from them.
Luckily a couple of taps and it was gone.
Here’s how to hide a Sponsored Post:
1. Look for the three spots at the bottom right of the photo.
2. Click the three dots.
3. Choose “Hide” option
4. Choose from 2 options: One allows you to hide just that photo. the other allows you to hide all posts from that account.
Note: I tried to grab some screen shots for you, but I can’t find any sponsored posts in my feed today. Normal posts from people you follow don’t have the “hide” option on them I’ve found. I’ll grab some next time I need to hide an ad.
