I’ve been stitching rainbow pastel blocks a lot lately.
They are gradually multiplying. There will be nine in the end.
You might remember seeing them a week or two back when I shared the progress I made while we were overseas.
Now I have finished six of the blocks and I love how they look.
They have been to some Physie lessons and tennis training sessions.
They travel in my car almost every day!
It can be easy to miss stitches in my travels when I’m putting my work away as the kids finish activities and then perhaps not taking it out again for a couple of days. But that’s OK. Every once in a while I go back and look at the other blocks to check that I haven’t missed anything.
The pastel colours are so soft and pretty! Such a contrast to my original bold bright rainbow blocks.
You can see in these last shots where I’m starting the seventh block – probably the easiest block of them all as it contains horizontal lines of colour.

These are so pretty. How do you manage to keep the hoop from making creases in your fabric?
Tonya Grant says
Thanks Elsie. The hoop does leave creases but they iron out easily.
