It has been AGES since I wrote a Five for Friday post but today’s the day. These posts are a way for me to share some of the amazing information that I find around the internet – not because someone is paying me too but because I love to share!
So here’s 5 for Friday
One of the hardest things to master if you are learning to crochet is getting those edges straight. This tutorial from Ashley at Heart.Hook.Home gives some great tips on how to get this under control.
Are you on Instagram? I’m always looking for new crafters to follow and my most recent find is @HappyCactusDesigns. Her stitching is divine! It makes me want to grab needle and thread.
I’m planning to start a new crochet project very soon and I want to give you the chance to join in. I’m trying out the 30-day Challenge with Brittany at Idealme. The next challenge starts on June 4 and will be to make a C2C Summer Blanket. C2C is a corner to corner crochet technique that I’ve been wanting to learn more about so I’m looking forward to learning more. You can check out the Idealme site here and look for more info about the next challenge very soon.
I came across this gorgeous rainbow quilt the other day and realised that I could make one. It was made from a book called Modern Rainbow by Rebecca Bryan of Bryan House Quilts which I have on my shelf. This version was made in half size by Janice at Better Off Thread. Now I just have to decide on the fabric.
A new book arrived at our place recently that has intrigued me as much aa the boy who received it. The Lego Animation Book teaches you how to create movies using Lego which is such a fun idea! Check it out on Amazon here.
